Los Premios Emmys 2024, en su 76° edición, dejaron momentos memorables y varios ganadores sorprendentes en una ceremonia marcada por la excelencia de las producciones televisivas. La serie dramática Shōgun y la comedia Hacks fueron las grandes triunfadoras de la noche.
La serie Shōgun, ambientada en el Japón feudal, arrasó en las categorías de drama al llevarse un total de 18 estatuillas, incluyendo los premios más prestigiosos: Mejor Serie Dramática, Mejor Actor (Hiroyuki Sanada) y Mejor Actriz (Anna Sawai). Con este impresionante récord, Shōgun se consolidó como la serie más galardonada de la edición, superando a otras favoritas como The Crown y The Morning Show.
Por su parte, en las categorías de comedia, la serie Hacks de HBO dio la sorpresa al imponerse a The Bear, llevándose el galardón de Mejor Serie de Comedia. Jean Smart, protagonista de Hacks, fue reconocida nuevamente como la Mejor Actriz de Comedia, reafirmando su posición como una de las mejores intérpretes de la televisión actual. Aun así, The Bear no se fue con las manos vacías, ya que Jeremy Allen White repitió su victoria como Mejor Actor de Comedia, mientras que Ebon Moss-Bachrach y Liza Colón-Zayas fueron premiados como Mejor Actor y Actriz de Reparto, respectivamente.
En la categoría de miniseries, Baby Reindeer se alzó como la gran ganadora, llevándose el premio a Mejor Miniserie y destacándose también con los premios a Mejor Actor (Richard Gadd) y Mejor Actriz de Reparto (Jessica Gunning).
